In three rooms, you'll find hundreds of constructions, running trains, large interactive dioramas on display, and of course, you can build things. In all the other rooms, you'll step back in time with interiors, objects, and appliances from the past. A museum for all ages. And now, the history of 90 years of LEGO. Although the famous LEGO brick has been around for 65 years, the name LEGO has been a player in the toy world for 90 years. Ole Kirk Christiansen started a small company in Billund, Denmark, in 1932. He was a carpenter and made chairs, ironing boards, and wooden toys. He soon called his company LEGO. The word LEGO was created from the Danish words 'leg' and 'godt', which mean 'play nicely' together. 90 years later, people are still 'playing nicely' and, according to the Museum of the 20th Century in Hoorn, it is high time for an exhibition about 90 years of LEGO. This can be seen until the end of 2024.
